The Great Outdoors!

In Teton County outdoor adventures and exploration are a way of life. Our outdoor programs are designed to encourage and empower you to get outdoors, develop life-long skills and build a strong connection to the natural world. Teton County / Jackson Parks and Recreation offers outdoor programs for youth, adults, active agers (seniors) and families. If your looking for an outdoor adventure, chances are we’ve got something you’re looking for!

Youth Outdoor Programs:

Get ready for an adventure! TCJPR offers great opportunities for youth to experience the greater Yellowstone ecosystem and beyond. Our High Adventure Expeditions for middle and high school youth allow participants to learn activities such as paddle boarding, kayaking, whitewater rafting, fly fishing rock climbing, camping and more. Our programs include overnight camps as well as day trips. If high adventure isn’t your pace, try an archery class at our indoor range or join a hike to learn about the natural world around us.

Adult Outdoor Programs:

Our adult outdoor programs include paddle boarding, kayaking, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, day trips around the region and more. All programs are a great way to make new friends, stay in shape and explore the fantastic landscapes, wildlife and history of northwestern Wyoming.

Active Agers Outdoor Programs

Teton County Jackson Parks and Recreation "Active Agers" programming strives to provide quality recreational, educational and social programs to promote wellness and lifelong learning, while keeping older adults active and engaged in their community. Our active agers outdoor programs are for adults age 60 or older and include cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, day trips around the region and more. All programs are a great way to make new friends, stay in shape enjoy the fantastic landscapes, wildlife and history of Northwestern Wyoming.

All Ages Outdoor Programs

Our all ages outdoor programs are designed with families and friends in mind. Experience the outdoors together as a family or with friends of all ages. New in 2018 was our popular parent/child overnight kayak trip.
