COVID-19 SERVICES UPDATE 

The courthouse is re-opening Monday, June 1st.  Per the Teton County Board of County Commissioners 5/26/20 Resolution, all courthouse visitors will be screened, require a mask and be required to maintain physical distancing requirements.  The resolution has extended the face covering requirement until August 1, 2020.

We continue to encourage and request all patrons to continue to explore and consider all available alternatives to on-site service before visiting the office in person.  Our public counter service space allows for only patron at a time during this pandemic phase. We welcome and encourage time sensitive filings to continue via email and fax and non-time sensitive pleadings via mail. Click on COVID-19 Filing Information located on left navigation for more information.  Fax/Email filing fees continue to be waived until further notice.  You must call the Clerk’s Office at 733-2533 to request to fax or email file in every instance.

Official Duties

The Clerk of District Court is responsible for accurately and effectively processing and managing the case files and court records of the Ninth Judicial District Court of Teton County. 

We provide:

  • District Court record information 
  • District Court case processing
  • Child support customer service
  • District Court jury pool management 
  • Passport application processing

For misdemeanor offenses, traffic citations or other tickets, please refer to your citation or court document for which court to contact. You may need to contact Teton County Circuit Court at 307-733-7713 or the Town of Jackson Municipal Court at 307-733-3932, ext. 1152.

However, we are not attorneys and Wyoming State Statute 5-3-213 prohibits the Clerk of Court or Deputy Clerks from giving legal advice.
