  • Threatening messages, packages or envelopes
  • Unusual illnesses among people / animals

Or notice possible clues to a bio-terrorist event:

  • Illness caused by an uncommon agent
  • Large number of ill persons with similar disease syndrome or death
  • Multiple atypical presentations of disease
  • Other unusual diseases from unknown causes
  • Genetically engineered, or unusual strains
  • Atypical aerosol, food or water transmission of disease
