As part of the Teton County Board of County Commissioners (BCC) desire to practice social distancing, the Board is asking members of the public to refrain from attending the Teton County BCC Voucher and Regular meetings scheduled for the week of March 16, 2020.
Teton County Commissioners will meet at the Board of County Commissioners Chambers to discuss vouchers on Monday, March 16, at 9:00 a.m., and on Friday, March 20, at 2:00 p.m. The Board’s regular meeting will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 17. The Human Services and Resource Allocation Plan workshop scheduled for Monday, March 16, at 10:00 a.m. has been postponed to a date yet to be determined.
All Teton County Commissioners’ meetings are streamed live and will be archived to view later at the Teton County webpage at https://www.tetoncountywy.gov/1185/Meeting-Video. Individuals who want to provide public comment during the meetings can do so by sending an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org. Those e-mails will be monitored during the meeting and shared with commissioners in real time.
While there is yet to be a confirmed case in Teton County and still only one case confirmed in Wyoming, the “all of the community” approach recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is focused on slowing the transmission for COVID-19 and reducing illness and death, while minimizing social and economic impact - also known as “flattening the curve”.
For up-to-date information on COVID-19, social distancing practices, and what individuals can do to help flatten the curve, please visit the Teton County Health Department website at https://tetoncountywy.gov/2061/Coronavirus-Disease-COVID-19.
