One22 and Housing Department to Offer Free Appointments to Apply for WEHAP

The Wyoming Community Development Authority (WCDA) released its application for the Wyoming Emergency Housing Assistance Program (WEHAP) last week. This program, funded with $15 million from the recent special legislative session, seeks to aid renters and homeowners who have experienced a substantial loss of income due to COVID-19.

These funds are expected to go quickly, and One22 and the Jackson/Teton County Affordable Housing Department (JTCAHD) are proactively working together to ensure those who need assistance in the application receive attention.

Beginning June 9th, One22 and JTCHAD will be offering free appointments to help people apply for the WEHAP, this week on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, June 9, 10 and 11th, from 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm at the Old Library Building (in the downstairs conference room) located at 320 South King Street.

Assistance is available in English and Spanish to help applicants log in and submit the necessary forms. To make an appointment, call One22 Resource Center at 739-4500, or the JTCAHD at 732-0867.

Up to three applicants can be accommodated at a time, and appointments are highly recommended so that proper time and distance can be provided for public health. Masks are required and will be provided.

“We know that sometimes these forms can be challenging, and it is important to provide support and assistance to those in our community wanting to apply for this program,” says One22 Executive Director Sharel Lund. “Our community is slowly recovering; however, many in our town remain housing insecure, and we hope this program provides critical funding to those in need.”

Those who seek assistance over the phone by email can contact the Housing Department at or by calling 307-732.0867, or One22 at 307-739-4500 or emailing
