Over the next several weeks, the Teton County/Jackson Parks and Recreation Parks Division will begin preparing to transition from summer service levels to fall and winter services.
Staff will begin blowing out irrigation system lines to expel all remaining water from pipes and will apply increased agronomic practices to protect vegetation over the winter season.
To ensure the successful winterization of seasonal restroom infrastructure, the restrooms in Town and County parks will be closed beginning Monday, October 2, with the exception to:
- Miller Park and Emily’s Pond (both are open year-round)
- Stilson (closing on October 15, but reopening for winter)
- Wilson and South Park Boat Ramp (closing on October 31)
The Owen Bircher riding arena will be open for public use until Monday, October 2 and staff anticipate opening the seasonal dog park at the Teton County Fairgrounds during the first week of November. An official open date will be released closer to opening day.
Teton County Parks and Recreation would like to thank the community for a great summer season. Staff will continue to send information and post on the Parks and Recreation website regarding other seasonal dates as staff transitions into the winter season.
