[ARCHIVED] Stop The Bleed

stop

Jackson Hole Fire/EMS is participating in the National Stop the Bleed Day. This nationwide program culminates on March 31, 2018 -- National Stop the Bleed Day. Initiated by the White House in 2015, Stop the Bleed is an important public education & outreach program designed to address the most common cause of preventable trauma death in the United States: uncontrolled bleeding.

Jackson Hole Fire/EMS is proud to promote this program locally. Over the next month and culminating on National Stop the Bleed Day, Jackson Hole Fire/EMS and affiliates will provide information on how citizens can get involved during a traumatic incident and save a life.

Through early interventions, massive blood loss can be lessened and time bought for additional actions by the fire department and at the hospital.  But early action by community members is optimal.

Take a moment to visit the site at the link below for a short video explaining this important nationwide initiative and program.  We will announce upcoming presentations, demonstrations and opportunities over the next few weeks.
