Critical Services Provider (CSP)

Critical Services Provider (CSP)

The Housing Department defines CSPs as workers who are on-call 24 hours a day for public safety emergencies in a Housing Department approved, community-based organization. Qualified CSPs earn an extra entry into our weighted drawing -- up to two entries per household.

Steps to apply as a qualified CSP with the Housing Department:

  1. If your organization and position meets the criteria and is not on our approved list (below), a Critical Services Provider Organization Application (PDF) must be submitted to the Housing Department. This application must include specific job titles for paid employees or volunteers who are on call 24 hrs/day for public safety emergencies. Once this application is submitted, it will be approved or declined by the Housing Authority Board during their monthly meeting. This meeting typically occurs on the first Wednesday of every month. (For all meeting dates, click here). For extra entries, the organization must be approved prior to entering any weighted drawing.
  2. Once the organization and position is approved, the CSP must have a supervisor complete the CSP Verification Form and submit it with their weighted drawing entry.
